The Australian Best Places to Work 2025, powered by WorkL announced.

The official The Australian Best Places to Work 2025, powered by WorkL has been published today (17th July 2025) by The Australian in partnership with the leading employee experience platform, WorkL, showcasing the Best Places to Work in Australia.

Procurement Co has been recognised as one of The Australian’s Best Places to Work and is successfully recognised for having consistently high levels of employee experience and wellbeing.

This nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates Australia’s top employers across industries and sizes.

How the survey works

The Australian partnered with employee-experience platform WorkL to deliver fresh insights into what makes a Best Place to Work. The awards uses 31 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to most accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace. To achieve a high overall engagement score, an organisation must score well across WorkL’s six-step framework:

1. Reward and Recognition

2. Instilling Pride

3. Information Sharing

4. Empowerment

5. Wellbeing

6. Job Satisfaction

Lord Mark Price, Founder of WorkL, said: “Many Congratulations to The Australian Best Places to Work, powered by WorkL. The recognised organisations lead the way in employee experience and will now benefit from improved retention and recruitment for the year ahead. WorkL is proud to power these awards and support organisations to measure employee experience and to retain and recruit the very best employees.”

About WorkL

Lord Price launched WorkL, back in 2017, along with WorkL For Business which now helps over 1000 businesses globally improve the happiness and engagement of their teams and has seen over 1.5 million individuals globally take the free WorkL Happy At Work Survey which helps people determine how happy they are in their current job. WorkL currently operates in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

The test, featuring 31 questions, is centred around the Founder, Lord Mark Price’s widely approved employee engagement theory: Six Steps to Workplace Happiness, which includes Reward & Recognition, which are integral to retaining talent. Developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties, the survey accurately monitors employee engagement and wellbeing in the workplace.

To achieve a high overall engagement score, a company must consistently perform well across its six-step framework, encompassing: Reward and Recognition, Instilling Pride, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing and Job Satisfaction Each of WorkL’s Six Steps consists of between three and five key elements, which are measured on a 0-10 scale.
